Start a village in your neighborhood

If you would like a Village in your neighborhood there are resources to help you get started. DC Villages with support from the District Department of Aging and Community Living has developed a guide, “How to Start of Village in the District of Columbia.” The guide includes both general information to get you started in developing a new Village, as well as DC-specific information and guidance. Beyond this guide, feel free to contact your neighboring Villages with questions. DC Villages work together to assist older adults throughout DC and we are happy to offer you support and information. You can also visit the national Village to Village Network and regional Washington Area Villages Exchange for additional information, ideas, and guidance.
